Indian Mutiny 1857-58, one clasp, Defence of Lucknow (Corpl J, Clowes, 90th. Lt. Inf.), very fine

Corporal James Clowes served with the 90th Light Infantry during the Indian Mutiny; was present at the First Relief of Lucknow, 25.9.1857, and was subsequently besieged at Lucknow.

The latest published transcript of the Medal Roll also gives entitlement to the Lucknow clasp; however, the medal appears entirely as issued.
