13575 Private Francis Joseph Peters, born Dublin, 26.6.1912; employed by the Colonial Office as an Immigration Officer; enlisted in the Straits Settlements Volunteer Force, 11.7.1940; mobilised for service during the Battle of Singapore, 9.2.1942; taken Prisoner of War at Singapore, following the surrender of the Allied Forces, 15.2.1942; and held for the rest of the War in Changi Gaol, Singapore.
