Lieutenant Hamilton Stuart, born March 1860, the eldest son of Major-General William James Stuart and Eleanor French; Commissioned Second Lieutenant, Royal Tyrone Fusiliers (Militia), December 1879; promoted Lieutenant, March 1881; transferred as Lieutenant, Essex Regiment, July 1882; served with the 2nd Battalion during the Egyptian Campaign, 1884-85.
