Inspector General James Edward Thomas Parratt, (1806-1878); appointed 2nd Assistant Surgeon, Ordnance Medical Department, March 1830; advanced Surgeon, February 1844; Surgeon Major, April 1854; Deputy Inspector General, December 1858; retired Honorary Inspector General, April 1860; died at Old Charlton.

J.E.T. Parratt was the son-in-law of Sir John Webb.
