M.13886 Engine Room Artificer Claudius Haslam, born Manchester, November 1886; joined the Royal Navy 'for hostilities', 7.6.1915, as Engine Room Artificer Fourth Class, and served in H.M.S. Blenheim, 2.8.1915 - 24.8.1918; advanced Engine Room Artificer Second Class, 1.4.1918; at the time of the award of his M.S.M. Blenheim was supporting a minesweeping squadron in the Mediterranean; promoted Acting Artificer Engineer, 1.11.1918.
