Able Seaman Benjamin Charles Lamb, born Hoxton, Middlesex, March 1862; joined the Royal Navy as Boy Second Class, December 1877; Ordinary Seaman, H.M.S. Invincible, March 1880; promoted Able Seaman, October 1883; served in H.M.S. Bacchante from April 1885 to November 1888; shore pensioned, April 1890.
