Auction: 160 - The Henry "Hap" Pattiz Collection of Nepal
Lot: 2223
Hellrigl #43f, g, 1917-30 4a Yellow green on native paper, imperforate, tete-beche pair, setting 12, unused right margin block of four, positions 47-48/54-56, position 56 being the inverted cliche, without gum as issued, large to extra-large margins all around, fresh color and paper, nice impression that confirms the inverted cliche, very fine; this is an exceptionally rare tete-beche pair that is not reflected by the catalog values; position 56 is found inverted in setting 12 only this makes tete-beche pairs of this position at least as rare as the 1a green error of color which also exists only in setting 12, the setting is confirmed in this block by the misalignment of position 56 that only exists in setting 12; identifiable tete-beche pairs different than position 54 are extremely rare (Scott #17, a; $490.00; S.G. #41, a; £452).
