Hellrigl #8, 1886-89 2a (Deep) violet, early printings on native paper of good quality, imperforate, reconstructed complete sheet of 64, setting 6, unused without gum as issued, this sheet is noted by Hellrigl as having been cut into blocks of eight, probably for easier dispatch to England, these have been carefully rejoined to make an accurate example of the setting, this setting is characterizes by having the inscription reading inwards at top only, the last two words are joined as in setting 5 but the whole inscription is shifted 6mm to the right compared to setting 5, sheet framelines are set somewhat wider than the 1a value being about 13mm from the stamps, traces on all three sides of this sheet, only one cliche is inverted, position 21, making the tete-beche pairs on the early native paper printings quite rare there is a half dozen constant plate flaws and double that number in progressive and transfer cliche flaws, color is intense violet and paper is fresh, additionally impressions are especially clear, very fine; a rare sheet even considering its reconstruction as only three or four sheets are known (Scott # 8 var., a var.; S.G. #8, a: £8,040+).
