Interesting19th century cover accumulation of 40 covers and four fronts, all with adhesive frankings from the 1847 issue to the Bank Notes, includes a number of better issues and usages starting with an attractive appearing 10c Black (#2; tear to stamp) tied to envelope from Mobile, Alabama to Haverhill, N.H., other imperforates include a #17 single franking on domestic subpoena, better 1857 issues with ten covers and a front including two with #25 singles, an illustrated advertising cover for Mrs. Winslow's Soothing Syrup and a caricature patriotic cover with Uncle Sam choking the Secession snake, also a couple of nice #32 and #33 covers from Portland Me. to Sacramento, Cal., nine covers with Civil War frankings including a nice patriotic cover, several with high values including a pair of #75 to France, five covers with "E" or "F" grills including a vertical pair of #93 on 1869 cover from Washoe City, Nevada to San Francisco, Washoe became a ghost town after 1870, ten 1869 Pictorial covers with several single frankings of the 1c and 2c values plus a block of four of the 3c on a large cover and a registered domestic cover with a 12c Green and three 3c Ultramarines, finally several Bank Note covers including a 7c Vermilion with "H" grill and ungrilled 15c Bright orange on cover to Spain, plus an 1873 Goodyear Rubber Co. corner card cover with 3c Green "I" grill, condition varies, cover and stamp faults are present but some nice clean items as well, four covers are large size; an interesting postal history lot well worth examining.
