#294a, 1c Pan-American, Center Inverted, deep rich colors and sharp detailed impressions, o.g. a bit disturbed from hinging, a couple of tiny hinge thins, otherwise fine, only 300 stamps were printed with the center inverted, some of which were used, it is believed that only about 250 mint examples and perhaps 45-50 used singles and three covers have survived, and many of the copies have faults or lack gum; a most presentable mint example of this rare and always popular inverted center.
