#1c, 5c Red orange, an attractive used example of this rare and distinctive shade, mostly large margins all around, except where close but well clear at bottom right, strong color and characteristic later impression on fresh paper that still retains its original bluing, neat New York square grid cancel, very fine; a rare completely sound example of this elusive stamp, being in far better condition than the majority of known examples, as most are found quite faulty and seldom with four margins; a must for any serious 1847 issue collection; 2012 PF certificate.
