Mauritius specialized collection of few thousand in battered Yvert album and four stockbooks, all contained in carton, issues to 1978, including couple Post Office reference forgeries, 1848 Post Paid 1d (4, all worn or latest impressions, one on piece), 2d latest impression, 1859 Lapirot 2d (2, intermediate and worn impressions), 1859 Dardenne 2d, good range of Britannias with 1858 4d on 4d used and 1861 1/- o.g., range of later Victorian sets with watermark and surcharge varieties including inverted and double varieties, some reference, 1899 3c on 18c inverted surcharge used, 1902 12c on 36c inverted surcharge o.g., 1910 to 10r, 1924 50r overprinted "Specimen," special deliveries, again with varieties, issues are first collected in singles and then in blocks of four starting with the late 19th century through a good selection of George V plate blocks and culminating with George VI and Elizabethan issues, commemoratives, color varieties, color shifts, etc., covers including one autographed by the prime minister, mint includes o.g., l.h., scattered unused but with much n.h. from the blocks, some significant faults to be expected especially in earlier issues, toning affects some and some a little stuck down, generally fine-very fine; a valuable collection worth careful inspection; high catalog value.
