Celtic, Trinovantes and Catuvellauni, uninscribed coinage, (c.60-20 BC), gold Stater, 5.70g, 'Late Whaddon Chase' type, blank die, some evidence of design or degradation rev. horse right, wing motif above, pelletal sun and corded groundline below, pierced mullet symbol before, other dispersed symbols (ABC 2344; VA 1502-1; S.33), areas of metal overheating, very light wear to high points, the reverse a very deep strike, freshness visible in recesses, extremely fine, very rare, much finer than ABC plate coin
