Celtic, Dobunni, Anted, (c.20-43 AD), gold Stater, 4.64g, 'Rig' type, Dobunnic tree, pellet at base, rev. horse right, anted above, [rig]v and wheel below, dispersed symbols in field (ABC 2066; VA 1069-1 - same dies; S.379), high copper content rose gold, fine crack from periphery to centre of horse's abdomen, some light pitting to obverse, this piece on a good-sized round flan, the strike very sharp on reverse with smooth lustrous fields, extremely fine, scarce
