Celtic, Dobunni, uninscribed coinage, (c.50-20 BC), silver Unit, 1.30g, 'Cotswold Cock' type, moon head right with sunburst on chin, crescents for hair, various symbols in field, rev. triple tailed annulate horse left, animal head and radiant sun above, cock's? head below, wheel before, dispersed symbols (ABC 2012; VA 1020-1; S.377), some light porosity from being in the ground, whereas this piece is an exceptionally well struck and centred coin, much imagery in evidence, eye appeal, extremely fine and an improvement on the ABC and Spink plate coins, rare
