Celtic, Atrebates and Regni, Eppillus, (c.20 BC-AD 1), gold Quarter Stater, 1.16g, 'Calleva Ring' type, calle[v] across central field, star above and below, rev. dog bounding right, eppi and ring-pellet above, rosette of pellets below, trefoil of pellets behind (ABC 1151; Bean EPP1-1; VA 408-1; S.96), small scratch under CALLEV and with some contact marks, even tone, good reverse, very fine/nearly extremely fine, extremely rare, possibly the finest known specimen
