Celtic, Sills Cf insular coinage, (c.80-50 BC), gold Stater, 6.46g, degraded profile of Apollo right, rev. horse right, abstract rider above with numerous large pellets, eye with pellet border behind (ABC 515; Sills Kentish A, dies E/3; VA-; S.20A), irregular shape flan, scrape to horse, good gold content with an even tone, the strike respectable on this, good very fine and of significant historical interest.
