(†) British Armed Forces, a group of specimens of the 2nd Series, ND (1948-61), comprising 3 Pence on watermarked paper, no serial numbers, brown and pale green, value at right; 6 Pence, blue-green, pale green and orange, value at right; 10 Shillings, serial number BB/6 000000, blue-green, pale green and orange, value at left; and £1, serial number AA/4 000000, purple, blue and red, value at left, all reverse value set in acanthus scrollwork, the first overprinted SPECIMEN in red with two De La Rue specimen ovals on obverse and reverse, one punch hole, the remainder overprinted with one black specimen De La Rue oval on obverse only
(Pick M16bs, M17s, M21s, M22s), the first mounting traces, otherwise extremely fine, the second and third about uncirculated to uncirculated, the last about uncirculated and very scarce (3)
