1883 (3 July) copy letter from the Colonial Secretary's Office, Bermuda, to the Crown Agents requesting them to order a die for a 2½d. value in blue (issued in 1884 - S.G. 27), attaching an 1865 imperforate 3d. orange handstamped "cancelled" (D7 - unlisted by Samuel) as a sample of the design required. Also, a letter from the Crown Agents to De La Rue requesting a design to be produced and the costings thereof. A highly important and unique pair of documents. Photo
