1928 (28 Mar.) envelope registered to California franked 1926 4d. 1927-30 3d. and United States 1927-28 Air Lindbergh 10c., all cancelled Cape Town, violet handstruck registration markings, transit and arrival markings on reverse; fine. A rare cover carried by ship to New York and with the United States 10c. (supplied from a special office in South Africa) for the internal Air Mail. One of only two items recorded using this scheme from South Africa.
