1859 envelope from Singapore to Indiana USA, marked "Via Marseilles", bearing 1a. brown with 4a. black and 8a. carmine on blue glazed paper, lightly cancelled "B/172", showing red crayon "1/10d", manuscript "16" and "Due 5c", red London Paid transit d.s. (28.11), Detroit c.d.s. (18.12) and oval-framed "5" with, on reverse, "singapore/p.o." c.d.s. in red; some minor soiling. A rare and attractive franking. Photo
