Dibblee (High Sheriff of Woodstock, N.B., who was instructed to collect and destroy the "Connell" stamps) from Warrenton with hand-drawn illustration of a lion in the lower left corner, the second (unfranked) from Major G. Hunter Ogilvie, commanding "E" Battery, from Vryburg with a light strike of the oval-framed "canadian contingent/south africa." datestamp in violet and showing Montreal Free datestamp on arrival
