Deacon of "A" Squadron at Machadadorp to Winnipeg, the second from A.P.O. 53 (29.10) and both showing light strikes of the oval-framed "canadian contingent/south africa." datestamp in violet; also (Aug.) large piece from Cpl. Townshend of "B" Squadron showing "army post office/3MB/south africa" c.d.s. (Witbank) and fine strike of the oval-framed "canadian contingent/south africa." datestamp; some soiling though not unattractive, and 1900 (15 Dec.) envelope registered to Regina, bearing G.B. 1d. (2) and 2½d. twice cancelled by F.P.O. 52 c.d.s. and with London Registered oval datestamps (12.1) below, Winnipeg (22.1) and Regina (24.1) on reverse; the earliest recorded date for this F.P.O. datestamp recorded by Rich
