1892 (7 May) "Bickel" envelope (222x100mm.) registered to San Marino, bearing Straits Settlements 1883 5c. blue vertical strip of three and single with Perak 1892 1c. green marginal block of six on reverse, all clearly tied by "thaipeng" c.d.s. (Proud Type D7), showing straight-line "registered" h.s. (Type R2; earliest recorded date) and, on reverse, Penang (9.5) and Rimini (6.6) datestamps; the envelope with vertical crease towards left and large repaired tear in face panel. A rare franking as the use of Perak adhesives was unnecessary. Photo
