1882 (5 Feb.) tatty envelope from Penang to Singapore and returned, bearing CC 2c. brown at lower left tied by "B/172" and showing red "penang/paid" c.d.s.; upon being returned a CA 2c. brown affixed at upper right, cancelled by dumb obliterator and showing red "penang/paid" arrival c.d.s. for 17 March; 1886 (5 Jan.) envelope to New York, bearing 10c. slate tied by "poss. an./paq fr n no1" octagonal d.s. with another strike alongside and showing French T.P.O. transit d.s. in red; and 1888 (8 Dec.) envelope to Germany, bearing 8c. orange pair tied by "singapore/p o" circular undated h.s. and showing "ligne n./paq. fr. no7" octagonal d.s. in red alongside.
