9th Earl of Elgin (1894-99): 1894 an original studio photographic portrait taken after his appointment as Viceroy. The bust length portrait 4 x 4½ inches shows the Viceroy in dress uniform wearing the neck badge, star and ribbons of the Order of the Star of India, the star of the Order of Indian Empire and the 1897 Jubilee medal. Signed on the mount "Elgin" and dated. Also plate photograph 10¾ x 8 inches showing the viceregal group with the Viceroy in the centre. Photo
