1919 (26 December) autograph letter and envelope from King George V on his monogrammed stationery, sent from Sandringham to Viscount Sandhurst (Lord Chamberlain of the Household), the letter includes, "I am glad you approve of my proclamation to India, I trust it may do good ..." and signed "George R.I.". The envelope bearing "official paid/sandringham r.s.o. norfolk" c.d.s. in red, Sandringham registration label and the handstruck Royal cypher, small gold crown embossed on the flap.
