1832 Stamp Office Stage Carriage Original Licence, for a stage coach running daily between Morpeth and Berwick on Tweed. To carry a maximum of 4 inside and 12 outside passengers. Made out to Joseph Hall of Newcastle upon Tyne. For 2 journeys Monday - Saturday of 14 miles each way, along the Great North Road (now A1). Royal Arms top centre. Black printing with manuscript annotations and signature, size 9½" x 14½". Three horizontal folding creases with the appropriate annotation on the reverse; in good condition. Photo
