George III, pattern Crown, 1817, 27.23g, by William Wyon, georgius iii d:g: britanniarum rex f:d:, laureate head right, signed w. wyon. below truncation, beaded border and linear circle both sides, rev. struck en medaille, foedus inviolabile, three standing figures, the 'Three Graces', Ireland, England, and Scotland, wearing ancient Greek style dresses and sandals, wreathed with shamrocks, roses, and thistles respectively, a harp, Union flag and thistle at their feet, w. wyon. by harp, crossed palm branch and rudder in exergue, edge plain (ESC 223; L&S 152), light cabinet friction on high points, with much lustre showing through old dark tone, good extremely fine, very rare
