(g) Victoria (1837-1901), pattern Five-Pounds, 1839, 38.61g, victoria d:g: britanniarum regina f:d:, head left, hair bound with two fillets, the front with six full scrolls above the lock of hair and three below, the rear fillet with eleven olive leaves, w.wyon r.a. on truncation, rev. struck en medaille, dirige deus gressus meos, the young queen, as Una, crowned, wearing long dress and cloak with Star of the Garter, holding orb and sceptre, guiding the Lion which walks beside her, date mdcccxxxix, and w. wyon r.a. below, edge with upright raised letters, between thin raised lines decus et tutamen. anno regni tertio.
