James VIII, gold pattern Guinea, 1716, 11.32g, restrike by Matthew Young c.1828, iacobvs. viii dei. gratia., laureate, draped and cuirassed bust right, toothed border both sides, rev. inverted die axis, sco an. fra et. hib rex., four crowned shields cruciform, four strings to Irish harp, sceptres in angles, thistle at centre, edge plain (B.1095; S.5726; St.263), as struck, with lustre, extremely rare in gold
