Charles II (1660-85), Two-Guineas, 1676, carolvs. ii. dei. gratia, second laureate head right, rounded truncation, rev. mag. br. fra. et. hib. rex., inverted die axis, four crowned shields cruciform, seven strings to Irish harp, sceptres in angles, cross of four interlinked Cs in centre, edge diagonally milled (MCE 37; Schneider -; S.3335), a tiny bruise on edge between 11 and 12 o'clock, lustrous and with old toning, good extremely fine, an attractive piece with a well struck up portrait, scarce thus
