Charles I (1625-49), Tower mint under the king, Crown, 30.02g, type 2b1, m.m. plume both sides, carolvs d.' g.' mag.' brit.' fra.' et hib.' rex.:., king, crowned and in armour, on horseback left, sword over right shoulder, horse caparisoned with plume on head and cross on housing, rev. .christo.:. avspice.:. regno.:. (plume).:., oval garnished shield, c-r divided by Welsh plumes above, m.m. to left of plume (Brooker obverse 242; FRC IX/XII;; N.2192; S.2756), a full round coin, light surface striations on obverse, as struck, good very fine, with attractive original blue lustre
