1825 (18 Aug.) entire letter from Col. Armstrong at Prome to his daughter Mrs. Emma Roberts (the famous authoress) at Masulipatan, showing framed "Post not Paid" and, on reverse, "Inl Ptg/Ship De" with manuscript charges alongside, and Calcutta G.P.O. c.d.s. (29.9). The letter gives details of Burmese forces at Meeaday and of local problems at Prome of flooding and disease, especially dysentery. Photo
