1930 (4 July) envelope flown on fifth stage of R.A.F. Survey flight from Miri to Kuching, franked at 14c. and showing "by air mail" label at upper left tied by clear arrival datestamp of 4 July; the envelope roughly opened at left and a fraction soiled. Photo

Note: S1419 and S1149 landed at Miri on their return flight from Brunei to Bintulu. Both planes flew on to Kuching on July 4th. An additional airmail fee of 10 cents per ½ ounce was charged in addition to normal postage.
