1870 (6 Jan.) envelope (215x83mm.; central fold) from Perth to Florence, marked "Via Marseilles" (deleted with blue crayon), bearing 4d. carmine vertical pair and 1/- bright green (2), each neatly cancelled "2", showing despatch c.d.s. in opposite corner, unframed "p.d." and, on reverse, Alexandria (11.2) and Brindisi (15.2) transit datestamps; upon arrival Italy Postage Due 1L. and 2L. vertical pair applied and cancelled.
