1858 (23 Feb.) sailor's envelope to Leicester, headed "From G. Millican, Seaman on board H.M.S. Herald", countersigned by Commanding Officer, bearing 1d. with margins virtually all round (just into at top right), tied by void obliterator in brownish red, showing very fine "post office/Crown/albany/western australia" oval h.s in brownish red and, on reverse, clear arrival c.d.s. (7.4); some minor light age stains though still fine. An attractive and very rare cover, one of only two recorded. B.P.A. Certificate (2007). Photo
