1928 (15 Sept.) picture post card (Government Buildings, Marrion Street) registered from Dublin to Canada, bearing 1925-28 wide date 2/6d. chocolate-brown, 1922-34 2½d. and 10d., with green label inscribed in manuscript "Catapult Airmail per SS Isle de France via Plymouth"; London (16.9), New York (25.9) and Winnipeg. (27.9) transit and arrival datestamps; fine. Only one other Irish acceptance from this proposed flight known. Photo

This card was intended for the third French catapult mail flight of 1928. The flight was abandoned due to the forced landing of the previous flight in the sea off the Scilly Isles.
