Note: The "Britannic" was bound from New York to Liverpool via Cobh, when a serious fire broke out at 10.45 on 23 April in the number 4 hold, containing baggage and mail destined for Ireland. The fire took 6 hours to extinguish and little mail remained in a salvagable condition
