(x) Batum
Postcard Stamp
1919 (13 Apr.) 35k. on 4k carmine-red (Romanov issue), very fresh and perfectly centred, unused without gum, a couple of ink notations on reverse not detracting. This very rare surcharge, which was intended for postal cards only, was very rarely applied on stamps affixed to cards. The rarest stamp of Batum, of high desirability. B.P.A. (1966) and A.P.S. (1994) Certificates. S.G. P2, £16,000. Photo
