An outstanding study/collection of the Aloe Tree issue, partly mounted on over 70 exhibition pages with original research, also housed in five stockbooks or loose stock pages, all contained in carton. The first issue with the four transfer types for each value identified as well as the four different forgeries, plus the 5k. and 10k. with part Telegraph seal cancels, the 50k. with superb central strike of the Insurance seal circular intaglio h.s. (very rare). The second issue with the six transfer types for each value identified, plus examples of the three different forgeries. The first issue surcharged including 25r on 5k. (55, twenty-six in blue), 25r. on 25k. (50, seven used and one with blue surcharge) and 50r. on 50k. block of four. The third issue with the six transfer types for each value identified, the short "a" variety on each value, broken "t" on 3r., 7r., 10r. and 25r. plus examples of the three forgeries on various values. Much duplication throughout with multiples of various sizes, a large number with transfer types identified. A chiefly fine and very interesting lot with viewing strongly recommended
