1930-55 group of U.S.A. covers which have suffered some burning, with 1930 (9 Dec.) envelope to California, burnt at upper left corner and with large "ambulance" envelope stamped with "damaged by air plane wreck/december 22, 1930"; 1934 (18 Dec.) commercial envelope from New York to Yokohama, burnt at foot and right, the reverse with "damage due to/air mail interruption/at/buffalo ny/dec 19 1934"; 1949 envelope from Paris to Mexico, with original contents and with label on reverse, "Recogida en el ostado que presenta/entire les despojos del evión caído en/Dallas, Tex., el 29 nov. 1949." (only applied on mail to Mexico); 1955 (10 Dec.) envelope (with original Christmas card) from Milwaukee to St. Petersburg showing straight-line "damaged in plane crash" in purple. (4 covers)
