An extensive collection of embossed general duty type most cancelled by the distinctive large oval in blue and with 1865 values to £10 including 1874 Great Western Insurance Company certificate with 6d. and 4/-; 1870 perforated with values to £1 with three complete insurance certificates, 1875 with values to £2/10/0 including some Specimen values to £2/10/0; 1882 to £5 (unlisted) and £10 (cut-to-shape) plus Specimen set to £10 (2) with some uncatalogued values; 1887 to £2/10/0 with Specimen values to £1/17/6 (2); 1887 in blue with Specimens to £1 and other Specimens to £25, used values to £10; 1893 grey with values to £50 and £100 and £50 overprinted Specimen plus some later issues. A very fine and comprehensive collection, ideal for the student of these issues. (654)
