A small group of Telegram envelopes with The Eastern Telegraph Company 1896 (2 Apr.) opened-out envelope registered to Tamatave (Madagascar) and bearing 27c. three-colour franking tied by Port Louis c.d.s.; 1902 (23 Jan.) envelope registered to Reunion bearing The Eastern & South African Telegraph Co. dated oval in blue and, on the reverse, 27c. franking tied by Mauritius c.d.s. with arrival c.d.s. alongside (28.1); vertical crease; also 1944 Cable and Wireless Telegram envelope to P.O. Box 1000, bearing 17c. franking tied by registered oval with Beau Bassin arrival c.d.s. and triangular "passed by censor/b4"; this camp held about 200 Jewish refugees.
