Straits Settlements: 1895 (25 Mar.) The Eastern Extension Australia & China Telegraph Company Telegram envelope registered to Riouw (D.E.I.) with 1892-99 3c. carmine-rose and 5c. brown vertical pair tied by two strikes of Singapore c.d.s. and large violet ovals of the Telegraph office with boxed registered handstamp at foot; the reverse with red wax seal of the telegraph company and squared circle "n-i agent singapore" c.d.s. Roughly opened at right and light cover fold but still a fine and scarce cover. The only recorded early Malaya franked Telegram envelope. Photo
