1854 2/- and 4/-, the 2/- in black on light blue, serial number "3244" and 4/- black on lemon in a lower right corner pair, serial numbers "8799-8800" and showing "Value £6.8.0." in the lower margin. With full original gum but with typical gum wrinkling. These stamps are rare with only seven examples of the 2/- and nine examples of the 4/- recorded. They are probably the most sort after of the private telegraph stamps, the pair is particularly desirable. Hiscocks 1-2. Photo
