1945 (Sept.) two covers marked "Liberated U.K. P.W.", one on A.C.F. envelope to Canada bearing a fine strike of "passed free/of postage" and sent through the Australian Base P.O., the second is an air letter sent from Percy Rhoden Hale to his wife in London written "At Sea" on the 'Empress of Australia' which was to be posted in Colombo (he had been away for 14 years).
