1885 (4 Mar.) envelope to Ireland, bearing 1879 2d. green and 1884 ½d. green pair and 1d. rose-carmine, each cancelled "556", showing manuscript "3", Cape Coast c.d.s., "paid/liverpool/br. packet" c.d.s. in red (30.3) with Queenstown arrival d.s. (31.3) on reverse; the envelope with tear at foot and part of flap missing caused through opening. A rare mixed issue franking. Photo
