Arabian Gulf Currency Board, hand sketched and painted designs for the obverse of a 1 riyal (2), 1965, first purple, second red, both with slightly different versions of oil derricks at right, boat at left, palms at centre, different borders and arrangements
(Pick unlisted), various designs have come on the market for this proposed issue in the past, but these are believed to be amongst the earliest, really quite pretty despite their relatively crude nature, and an important record (2)
