Constantius as Caesar (AD 293-305), AE Nummus (27.2 x 26.0 mm 10.32 g 5h), London mint c. AD 296-7, FL VAL CONSTANTIVS NOB C, laureate and cuirassed bust of Constantius right, rev. GENIO POPVLI ROMANI, Genius standingleft holding patera and cornucopia (RIC --; CT 1.03.009), residual silvering, good very fine.

The first cuirassed issues from the reformed London mint. These issues are rare and the authors of the Magny-Cours hoard study date them to 296. This example has particularly ornate shoulder plates on the cuirass.
